I have been paying my mortgage after the 15th of the month now for about 1 1/2 years (yes, I realize that is technically late, however, I got in a financial bind and have never made it out, but still was trying to keep my credit decent by never being over 30 days late on my payment).
Now I have over $2000 in late fees and when I talk with Saxon Mortgage customer service they say there is nothing they can do about it.
My plan is to play catch up and save up enough money to be able to finally catch up to the first of the month. The phone calls are horrible…at least 3 times a day starting on the 3rd or 4th each month.
Does anyone have any advice about late fees?”
