Gail asks: “I have been getting calls from Saxon. I called the 1-800 number back and the customer service rep asked me for my social security number. I do not even have an account with Saxon and was unclear if it was a mortgage company or debt collector.
I would not give my SS# so he put me on hold while he tried to look up by name and number. He came back on the line and told me it must have been the wrong phone number they were dialing.
This makes me nervous because he would not give me any other information about the account. Were they just trying to get info on me? Are the a fraudulent company?”
